POESTENKILL, NY — The Town of Poestenkill Town Board will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, April 23, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. at the Poestenkill Fire House (182 Main Street) to discuss increasing the maximum estimated cost of Water District No. 2.
The proposal would raise the project budget by $670,418, bringing the revised total to $6,220,418 for construction of the water distribution system. Officials say the increase accounts for updated cost estimates.
Complete details, including revised cost estimates for a typical property and the full boundary description of the district, are available for review at the Town Clerk’s office during regular business hours. A PDF notice is also posted on the town website.
Town Supervisor and board members encourage all interested residents to attend and share comments. This hearing provides an opportunity for public input before any final decisions.
